WHAT IS TEDx?
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxIHEID, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxIHEID event, TED Talks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized. Find out more about TED here.
WHAT WE DO
At TEDxIHEID, we aspire to present a unique opportunity to bring together Geneva’s academic and non-academic realities while stimulating the spread of variegated viewpoints on contemporary issues affecting our society. IHEID has a long tradition of nurturing future leaders from a highly international student base. Following the new initiatives launched by Directrice Marie-Laure Salles, IHEID is gathering momentum for an epoch of positive growth. In the same spirit, we have witnessed students increasingly taking agency of what they wish to learn, unlearn, and relearn, both in personal and professional spheres. It has never been more pertinent than today to rip open a chasm for new and challenging perspectives against long-established norms and standards.
